The case will be heard today to decide the future and fate of middle order batsman Umar Akmal, who violated the Pakistan Cricket Board's anti-corruption code.
The Pakistan Cricket Board's disciplinary panel is hearing the case of batsman Umar Akmal tomorrow. Umar Akmal's case will be heard at the National Cricket Academy.
The chairman of the disciplinary panel is Justice (retd) Fazal Miran Chauhan, a former judge of the Lahore High Court. Fazal Miran Chauhan has sent notices to both the parties, while Umar Akmal's case is likely to be decided in one to two hearings.
The case was referred to the disciplinary panel for not hearing the Umar Akmal case in the Pakistan Cricket Board's anti-corruption tribunal. It should be noted that Umar Akmal was issued a notice of charge for violating the anti-corruption code twice.
Umar Akmal was issued a notice of charge by the PCB on March 17, 2020 while he was temporarily suspended on February 20, 2020.
