LONDON: Connor Burns, a close aide to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, has resigned as trade minister. According to British media reports, abuse of power and intimidation of financial institutions cost the Commerce Minister dearly. Using his influence, the Commerce Minister intervened in the father's financial dispute case and took advantage of his powers to threaten financial institutions. The Standards Committee reviewed the allegations and ruled against the Minister of Commerce, following which Connor Burns announced his resignation.
