ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant for Health Dr Zafar Mirza has said that the situation of corona virus seems to be stabilizing in the coming days.
Briefing on the epidemic situation in Islamabad, he said that more than 80% of the cases in Pakistan are now at the local level. The number of tests is being increased.
Dr Zafar Mirza said that 6,218 tests were performed in the last 24 hours. At present, the number of corona patients in the country has increased to 12,723.
He said that a few thousand addresses have been given to the provincial governments, these people are suspected to be suffering from corona. The provincial governments will conduct corona test of these people. He appealed to the people to avoid going to mosques. More than 80% of cases in Pakistan are now at the local level. Across the country, 269 people have lost their lives due to corona, 49 patients are in critical condition and 2,866 patients have recovered. The nation should respect police officers and soldiers

The Special Assistant said that more than 144,000 tests have been done. In the last 24 hours, 783 cases were reported while Punjab recorded the highest number of 332 cases. There seems to be some stability in the coming days. He said that more than 2.9 million positive cases have been reported worldwide while more than 200,000 deaths have been reported worldwide.
