QUETTA: The number of corona cases in Balochistan province has risen to 1,031 and 14 people have lost their lives.
Provincial government spokesman Liaquat Shahwani said 53 new cases had been reported in Balochistan in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to more than 1,000.
He said that 880 local cases have come to light in Balochistan. In April, 2800 shops were sealed for violating lockdown. Action is being taken against the violators of the lockdown and several people have also been arrested.
The death toll from the corona virus in Pakistan has risen to 358, while the number of corona patients has risen to 16,117.
In Sindh province, 112 deaths have been reported due to corona virus and 6053 cases have been reported. Out of 358 new cases, 284 are from Karachi while 58 cases of Corona are from other cities. The 43 patients who died from corona ranged in age from 60 to 69.
In 12 out of 29 districts of Sindh, cases of coronavirus have been reported and the situation in Karachi is the worst.
According to the National Command and Operations Center, the highest number of 6,061 cases of corona has been reported in Punjab so far. The virus has been confirmed in 2313 people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 313 in Islamabad, 66 in Azad Kashmir and 333 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
