ISLAMABAD: The hearing of fake accounts and mega money laundering case could not proceed in the accountability court of Islamabad due to corona virus. The criminal proceedings against Asif Ali Zardari and others were also postponed in the Park Lane reference.
Accountability court judge Muhammad Azam Khan heard the case of fake accounts and mega money laundering. NAB prosecutor Wasim Javed and investigating officer Qasim Khan appeared in court while former president Asif Ali Zardari and Faryal Talpur did not appear.
Lawyer Latif Khosa, while seeking exemption from the attendance of Asif Zardari and Faryal Talpur, said that no action was being taken due to Corona. The court should give the date of the case after Eid. The court granted the petition and adjourned the hearing till June 10.
Former President Asif Ali Zardari's indictment in the Park Lane case has also been postponed. The hearing on the references of illegal allotment of Punk Residency, Nahr-e-Khayyam was also adjourned till June 10.
