LAHORE: (22 April 2020) Accountability court acquits three accused, including PML-N leader Hafiz Noman, from the Lahore Parking Company case. ۔
According to details, the accountability court in the Lahore Parking Company case gave a safe verdict on the pleas of three accused including former member Provincial Assembly Hafiz Noman.
Judge Amjad Nazir Chaudhry acquitted PML-N leaders Hafiz Noman, Usman Qayyum and Taseer Ahmed of the case. The court ruled that the case of Lahore Parking Company did not fall under the purview of NAB.
The court, in its judgment, said that under the NAB Amendment Ordinance, it is not permissible to hear the case of Lahore Parking Company, which orders the three accused to be acquitted.
It is pertinent to mention here that the three accused in the NAB reference were charged with extortion of Rs. 8 million.
Talking to media, Hafiz Noman said that he was thankful to Allah Almighty, he was innocent which was proved by the court today. He also thanked the friends who supported him.
